FAQ
Q: How long have you been in business?
A: Long's Window Care washed its first window in 2003.
Q: I have never had my windows professionally cleaned before, what are the benefits?
A: Other than the obvious answers of window cleaning makes your home feel brighter and cleaner, getting your
windows cleaned is actually a way of protecting one of the biggest investments in your home. Glass is porous and
holds a lot more dirt than you can imagine. Add the wind and weather outside, the sun baking dirt and stains into
your glass and you have dirty windows.
Neglecting your windows from professional cleaning will result in permanent damage to your windows.
Q: How often should I have my windows cleaned?
A: We highly recommend a complete home window cleaning (inside and out) at least once a year and an outside
only cleaning periodically to keep the windows looking fresh and new.
Q: Are you insured?
A: Yes we are insured. We carry a copy of our general liability and workers compensation insurance with us on every
job. As a professional company we do not ask you to take our word that our insurance is up to date which is why we
encourage our clients to request a binder not only from our insurance agent but from the insurance agent of
anyone doing work on your home. Our agent is extremely helpful and would be more than happy to email or send
out an insurance binder at your request.
Q: Are you a member of any trade associations?
A: Yes. We are a member of the IWCA (The International Window Cleaning Association) and the MWCOA (Master
Window Cleaners Of America). Taking an active part in the industry has kept us up to date on new tools and
cleaning techniques to make sure our clients always get the best results.
Q: What do you use to clean the windows?
A: We use a biodegradable solution which is used by professional window cleaning companies all over the world.
The window cleaning solution we use is safe for you and your family as well as your pets and plants.
Q: What is your process for cleaning windows?
A: Typically we start on the inside of the house (usually on the top floor) clean the inside of the windows, work our way
down and then outside. When we are finished we do a thorough walk through to make sure nothing was missed
and to lock everything up.
Q: What is included in your window cleaning estimate?
A: All estimates are custom to each clients needs.
Our typical estimate will include inside and out cleaning of all exterior windows and screens and sills wiped down
of any debris.
As optional services we also offer scraping of paint and stains, screen washing and complete glass restoration if
needed because of weather damaged glass.
In addition, all estimates are given under the assumption that the windows in your home are in good working
condition.
Q: Do we reschedule if it is raining on the day of my window cleaning appointment?
A: Not necessarily. Depending on the circumstances we will call the night before your appointment and plan
accordingly if rain is in the forecast. During our busy months we try to get the inside completed on rainy days and
will return to complete the outside once the weather is better.
Q: How much do your services cost?

you have (if they have panes, storms etc). Our minimum window cleaning charge
is $125
Gutter Cleaning charges are based on how much gutter you have.
